Becky, a middle-aged wife, finds herself behind the wheel of a thrilling new adventure when she meets Joe, a wealthy and charismatic widower. He offers her a ride out of her mundane existence — a sleek, shiny escape from the grind of her everyday routine. As she revs the engine of temptation and speeds down the road of excitement, Becky faces the risk of crashing her marriage and her sense of self. Torn between the comfortable, familiar route and the intoxicating thrill of the unknown, Becky’s choices drive her into a high-speed collision of secrets, desires, and self-discovery. With sharp wit and unexpected twists, the play explores the dangers of hitting the gas without knowing where the road might lead.
Erik Perkins directs.

"On a classic mistaken-identity premise, playwright Steven Dietz has constructed a warmly humorous and nimble romantic farce that doesn’t oversell itself, or ever sell its American Everywoman protagonist short. Dietz has created a comedy of modern manners…one that derives as much power from its humanity as its fine-tuned craftsmanship." Seattle Times
