Frequently Asked Questions

If I buy tickets online, does that mean I have a reserved seat?

No, all our seating is general admission - but it does mean that you are guaranteed a seat. We recommend that you arrive early, as choosing seats is first come, first served. The seating area opens 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Yes, you can, but only if online tickets are not sold out. We try to keep a small number of tickets to sell at the door for each performance, but this is not guaranteed. The box office opens one hour prior to each performance.

Can I exchange my ticket to another performance of the same show?

Yes, we can exchange your ticket to another performance of the same show, provided the new date is not already sold out. Exchanges cannot be made across separate shows.

I can't make it to the show. Can I get a refund?

Refunds may be provided upon request by the purchaser until the day prior to the scheduled performance. Refunds requested on or after the performance date may be granted at the discretion of the Front of House. Refunds are available upon request for any performance that has been cancelled by the Maskers for one week following the date of the cancelled performance.

In lieu of a refund, ticket transfers may be made subject to availability. In the event of a transfer resulting in a higher ticket price, the purchaser will be charged the difference. Conversely, the theater will refund any difference if the transferred ticket is of a lower price.

What if I am late for the performance or don't arrive at all?

A purchased ticket is considered forfeit if the purchaser fails to appear prior to the scheduled start time of a performance. The Belfast Maskers reserves the right to resell unclaimed tickets if the performance would be sold out. The Front of House may utilize their discretion to delay the forfeiture of a ticket.

Each Belfast Maskers performance will have an admittance period, after which late-arriving audience members will not be seated, as it will be disruptive to the performance. This is at the discretion of the front of house staff, and/or the management team for each production (Directors, Stage Managers, and Producers).

What if Belfast Maskers has to cancel a performance?

If a show must be cancelled for any reason, we will make every attempt to notify you via email or phone as soon as that decision is made. You will receive a full refund. However, if you decide you'd like to donate the price of your ticket(s), we will gratefully accept the help! Cancelled shows still cost us money.

How do group discounts work?

Many of our shows offer a 15% discount for groups of 6 or more, when tickets are purchased online in a single transaction, which will be automatically applied at checkout.  If the discount is offered, it will be noted in the show's event info.

Is parking available at the theater?

There is a small parking lot on the side of the theater that faces Spring Street, as well as plenty of street parking nearby. We're also just one block up from the municipal parking lot between Church and Beaver Streets.

Is the theater handicap accessible?

Yes! There is a ramp up to the theater's entrance and an elevator that connects the lobby to both the upstairs theater and the downstairs (green rooms, kitchen, and coffeehouse performance space). Seating for our shows is general admission, but if you require a seat at floor-level, please reach out to us at info@belfastmaskers.com.
