One Blue Tarp Auditions

AUDITION DATES:
Thursday, July 24 at 6:00pm or Saturday, July 26 at 10:00am
(auditioners need only attend one day)

PERFORMANCE DATES:
October 3-12, with a preview night on October 2

An Overview:

Retired Mainer David Stillman has just replaced his old worn-out blue tarp covering the junk in his yard with a brand new one, and assumes it ought to last ten more years -- until he finds out that the town has recently outlawed those unsightly blue tarps. David vows to fight the new ordinance and the rich woman from away who's behind it. Meanwhile, their families and other townsfolk get caught in the quarrel's crosshairs while dealing with their own problems. The forces come to a head at a good old-fashioned town meeting, where tradition meets development and the way things are wrestles with how life should be.

What to Expect:

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

For those wishing to familiarize themselves with the script in advance, a public table reading will be held on Friday, July 18 at 6:00pm. All are welcome to participate, regardless of intent to audition.
