Play Reading Group

The Belfast Maskers Play Reading Group is an invitation-based series to read plays together selected by common interest and/or the choice of the group leader(s). The list of plays will be available to all members of the group to vote on and/or nominate additional works. It will meet on the last Sunday or Monday of the month depending on member interest and availability. These will *not* be public performances and attendance will be limited to those who have signed up and their guests. The plan is to give all attendees the opportunity to read, but this may be limited based on the number of participants.

The play for the first meeting on January 26 is a new work based on a real historical sex scandal from the 19th century, in which powerful men use their wealth and political connections to conceal their dalliances with vulnerable youth. Plus ça change...
