The Music Man – 2018 on 07/28/2018 @ 6:00pm

Belfast Maskers present  Meredith Willson’s The Music Man
Tickets:  $15 adults/$10 students

Based on a story by Willson and Franklin Lacey, The Music Man tells the of con man Harold Hill, who poses as a kids’ band organizer and leader and sells band instruments and uniforms to 1912 Midwestern townsfolk, promising to train the members of the new band. While Harold makes plans to skip town as soon as the sales are final, prim librarian and piano teacher Marian sees through him. But as the story unfolds, Harold, who is not a bandleader or teacher, helps individual townspeople in his quirky way –Including the bickering local school board and Marian’s younger brother. The tide and Marian’s heart begin to turn his way as Harold risks being caught to win her.

The play is directed by Michael Switzer, with music direction by John Cameron. Performances will be held at the Crosby Center on Church Street in Belfast.
